Coldcut Soundtrack Paris 1914
In 2014 Noise of Art asked Coldcut to soundtrack a section from Sauvage’s early cinematic study of Paris, for a celebration of 100 years since the first attempts to play early live electronic music – which were also used to soundtrack silent film. The event took place at the BFI Southbank, London. Later events with different acts and music, but on similar themes, and a photo exhibition took place in Village Underground, National Portrait Gallery, Moulin Rouge, Mama Festival in London, Paris and Marseilles.
