NoA at Woodbridge Lockdown Festival Part Three

NoA at Woodbridge Lockdown Festival Part Three

Continuing our programme of online and socially distanced Lockdown 2020 events, Noise of Art has been programming and filming live performances across the Suffolk market town of Woodbridge for the Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music.

For the August Bank Holiday weekend we supported a peaceful Black Lives Matter rally, and an Indoor Festival Picnic, celebrating 57 years since Martin Luther King’s I Have A Dream Speech. The festival also hosted ecological education activities for young people (aged 7-12) and a live broadcast about sustainability at sea by Incredible Oceans.

With our next events beginning in mid September, planned for Suffolk, Brighton, London and Prague, our programme so far has included  a live acoustic set and on-stage Q&A on Black music history with Imagination frontman, Leee John, a new song recorded in Lockdown isolation in three countries by the four members of Red Snapper, a Live sets at The Cross Club in Prague for Lowestoft’s First Light Festival , which also featured sets by DJs Ben Osborne and Nathan X (congratulations to him on his next single, The Weekend – released any day now), a series of concerts filmed in various venues and a keynote speech by Music Venues’ Alliance founder Mark Davyd – for whom we have been collecting fund to help keep the UK’s grass roots venues alive. Click here to view two films we produced around some of the performances.
